Top Ten 2020 Crafts

2020 was the year that my crafting fell off a cliff. I just didn’t do much crafting at all… Let’s see what I actually did accomplish:

1. Big Sentiment Christmas - Hands-down my favorite Christmas card that I made this year!

2. Silver Falling Snowflakes - I also really loved this Christmas card that I made!

3. You’re All Heart - Just look at these gorgeous fun heart cards!

4. Week in the Life 2020 Project - I completed this year in the year and apparently early in the pandemic. Interesting project.

5. December Daily 2019 - Another project that I really love doing every year. Hoping to continue into 2021.

6. Abstract Slip - This was such a beautiful simple card using some of my favorite colors!

7. Week in the Life 2019 Project - I reached back into 2019 and got this one done. Still really love this project and will continue into 2021.

8. Merry and Bright DSP - One last Christmas card that I loved making!

9. March Memory Planner Pages - I got stuck about halfway through the year, but I did get a few months complete.

10. An Elegant Cake - One last pretty card for 2020.

Abstract Slip

There’s something perfect about a clean and simple card. For this card, I used washi tape to create a mask for my stamped flowers. A simple sentiment, some layered cardstock, and a few rhinestones complete the card.

You're All Heart

I actually made some cards this week! What!?!?!?!

I finally, finally pulled out and used the Modern Heart Stamp Set (after it’s been retired of course). I love this great geometric heart. Such possibilities! For these cards, I dug through my random DSP scraps to find some fun color combos and patterns and chose two to make cards from. I ended up pulling out a ton of retired colors for the first card. I actually really loved the more subdued color palette on the first card. To finish I added a simple sentiment and some great accessories.

For the second card, I chose a much brighter color palette. It’s very colorful in person!

Top Ten 2019 Crafts

This year was a strange one where I lost a bit of crafting mojo. Nevertheless, I did make some great crafts this past year. In no particular order, here are my 10 favorite craft projects of 2019!

8. Lots of Baubles - These cards took forever, but are so amazing!

10. Happy to Have You - Something about a large sentiment that really gets me!

Need a Cup?

Today’s card is a complete throwback. I love the Coffee Cafe stamp set and assorted products, but they all retired last year. Boo!!! I still love my set and refuse to sell them. So I pulled all the products out and made a fun coffee card for this week. I know I’ve made this card design before, but it’s too good to not bring it back.

Rococo Petals

Today’s card features the new In Color Rococo Rose. This is a nice dusty pink. I modeled this card off of a few examples I found on Pinterest. I love the piece of embossed cardstock layered on the same color card base. It creates texture without a lot of work. From there, I stamped, punched, and layered some flowers and leaves. Love how this card came together.

Seaside Balloons

Today’s card Is a simple card highlighting the new Seaside Spray In Color. This is a nice light blue with hints of gray. I definitely like it better than Balmy Blue (too bright for me). I simply stamped and punched a few hot air balloons. and layered some pieces of cardstock.

Terracotta Daisy

Today’s card is super simple and yet so delightful. I paired this gorgeous gingham paper with simple stamped and punched daisies. Sometimes the simplest cards are just what you need.

Up in the Air

Today’s card is all about the cute new stamp set: Above the Clouds. I love hot air balloons and this stamp set is just too adorable! I pulled out some scraps of paper from the Garden Impressions DSP pack from last catalog and pulled my colors from the scrap piece. I love this simple card.
